How to video call on Facebook Messenger

You can video call with any of your friends on Facebook using the Facebook Messenger app. It's free and doesn't require any additional software. Follow these steps if you want to chat face-to-face live with voice instead of text on Facebook.

How to video call on Facebook Messenger

On iOS

Make sure you have installed the Facebook Messenger app. You can download it here.

Step 1: Open the app on your device.

Step 2: Tap People then tap Active.

Step 3: A list of people who are active will appear. Select a person you want to video chat with.

Step 4: Tapto make a video call.

On Android

To download the Facebook Messenger app on your Android device, click here.

Step 1: Open the Facebook Messenger app on your device.

Step 2: Tap Active to see a list of people who are active and select a person to have a call.

You can open a conversation with the person or group you want to video chat with.

Step 3: Tapin the upper-right corner of the chat window.

On Desktop

Step 1: Log into your Facebook account.

Step 2: Click  at the top right and open a conversation with the person or group you want to video chat with.

Step 2: Clickin the upper right corner. 

Note: Make sure you turn your camera and microphone on so that people can see and hear you during the call.
