How to Add Song Lyrics to Instagram Story

On June 6, 2019, Instagram launched a new feature that allows its users to add lyrics to their Instagram Stories. Social media plays an important part when it comes to letting the world know about your products and connecting with your fans. How to Add Song Lyrics to Instagram Story

1. Open the Instagram app on your Android and iOS device.

If you don't have an account yet, read this: Instagram Sign Up.

2. On the home screen, tap your profile picture in the upper-left corner to create an Instagram story.

3. Select or take a photo/video you want to feature in the story.

4. Swipe up or tap the square Stickers button in the top right.

5. Tap the Music sticker and select the song you want to use. You can scroll down to see suggested songs or tap the Search bar and search for a song.

6. Select a snippet of the song or the part of the song that you want to use in your Story. The corresponding lyrics will then appear. 

Not every song in the library of Instagram music has this feature. The lyrics will appear automatically if the song you select happens to have lyrics available. Lyrics also react in real-time with the slider. You can add up to 15 seconds of the song and the lyrics.

You can customize the way the lyrics are displayed with four different lyric-formatting options.

7. Tap Done in the top right corner after you select a snippet.

8. Position and resize the lyrics.

9. Upload your Instagram Story.
