
How to Block a Number on iPhone

In this day and age, our phone numbers are frequently made public. We connect it to various apps and deals to make it easier for marketers and spammers to obtain our phone numbers. Dealing with spam calls can be aggravating, and if any of them persist, you should block their number. Not only spammers, but you may also want to block contacts who are simply annoying and unpleasant to be around. If you are annoyed with spam calls on your iPhone or there is someone like your ex-boyfriend or a former friend that you don't want to hear from them ever again, you can block that person easily on your iPhone. How to Block a Number on iPhone
There are two ways to block someone whose phone number is saved in your contacts.
Block a Number using the Phone App
1. On your iPhone, launch the Phone app.
2. Tap the Contacts icon from the bottom-of-the-screen menu.
3. Scroll down until you find and tap the name of the contact you want to block.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the contact detail page and tap Block this Caller.
5. A pop-up will appear informing you that you will not receive communication from the blocked numbers. Tap the red button that says Block Contact.

Block a number from iPhone Settings
If you want to block multiple contacts, the Settings app is the best place to start. You will still be able to block contacts one at a time, but it will take much less time.
1. Navigate to Settings then tap Phone.
2. Select Call Blocking & Identification.
3. To get a list of all contacts saved on your iPhone, tap Block Contact...
4. The name of the contact you want to block will be added to the list of blocked contacts.
How to Block a Phone Number not in your Contacts
If you receive a call or message from someone who is not in your contacts and want to block them, you can do so easily from your iPhone's Phone and Messages apps.
Using the Phone app
1. On your iPhone, launch the Phone app.
2. To access the call logs, tap Recents in the bottom bar.
3. Locate the number you want to block and tap the circular i icon next to it.
4. At the bottom of the page, tap Block this Caller.
5. To confirm, tap Block Contact.
Using the Messages app
1. On your iPhone, launch the Messages app.
2. Open the message from the number you want to block.
3. In the top right corner of the screen, tap the circular i icon.
4. At the top of the Details screen, tap the phone number.
5. At the bottom of the page, tap Block this Caller.
6. To confirm, tap Block Contact.
How to Unblock a Number on iPhone
1. Navigate to Settings then select Phone
2. Select Call Blocking & Identification.
3. You'll see a list of all the numbers you've blocked on your iPhone here. Swipe left on the number to be unblocked. This will reveal an Unblock button, which you should tap.
So that's how to block or unblock a number on iPhone. It's easy. When you block a number on your iPhone, you won't receive their phone calls, messages, or FaceTime requests. And the blocked number will go straight to the voicemail when they call you. And that's the only clue for them to know that they've been blocked. They can still send texts as normal.
