How to create a Facebook Page

A Facebook page is a public profile of an organization, business, brand, or public figure. By default, it's visible to everyone on the Internet. Follow these steps to create a Facebook page.

Step 1: Go to Facebook and log into your account.

Step 2: Click the down arrow icon in the upper-right corner.

Step 3: Select Create Page.

Step 4: Choose the type of page you want to create by clicking Get Started.

Step 5: Fill out the required information including:

1. Page Name - must be distinct so that people don't confuse your name with an existing one.
2. Category - a general idea about your company. When you type in the Category field, you will see a list of options to choose from.
3. Address (Street address, City, State, ZIP code) - You can click Don't show my address. Only show that this business is in the City, State region if you don't want to display your full address.
4. Phone number (optional)

If you forgot to fill out any required field, an error message will appear to guide you.

Step 6: Click Continue.

Step 7:

Click Upload a Profile Picture, select a picture from your computer and click Open to add a profile picture to your page; or

Click Skip if you want to decide later.

Step 8: 

Click Upload a Cover Photo, select a picture from your computer and click Open to add a cover photo to your page; or

Click Skip to decide later.

Your Facebook page has been created successfully. Now you can add a short description,  create a username for your page, or invite your friends to like your page!
